We are committed to your puppy's health
At Elite Golden Pups, we are committed to improving the Golden Retriever breed by conducting testing through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals and the American Kennel
club.
Starting with OFA- and DNA-tested parents who are an integral part of our family, and ensuring the pedigree is intact and free from health issues, we initiate the process of breeding genetically healthy puppies.
We do our best to hand over a puppy that has undergone a rigorous medical plan, designed by our veterinarian, tailored to our breeding program.
Here are key points that are the backbone of our commitment to high health standards and the well-being of our puppies:
– The litter is raised in a sterilized space.
– Puppies’ cleanliness is constantly monitored.
– Puppies’ weight, temperature, and feeding are recorded daily on each puppy’s chart.
– Deworming is done every two weeks, using Panacur Fenbendazole, to avoid parasites.
– Puppies receive a round of vaccines, as detailed below.
– Each puppy gets their own vet health-check, which includes a thorough inspection from head to toe, ad well as a veterinarian bill of health certificate.
– We provide a one-year health guarantee which covers genetically transmitted diseases or incurable medical issues that are considered to be breeder’s responsibility. To learn more about the terms and conditions of our health guarantee, click here.
What Vaccinations Puppies Receive Before Joining Your Family
At Elite Golden Pups, we are committed to ensuring the health of our puppies, which is why each one comes with a health guarantee that includes their initial vaccinations, a veterinary health check, and deworming. Our golden puppies with vaccinations are prepared for a healthy start. These vaccinations are crucial for your puppy’s well-being and will let them thrive in your home. While the required vaccinations may differ by state, they generally include Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella, administered around 8 weeks of age. A follow-up set of vaccinations occurs between 10 to 12 weeks, during which puppies receive the DHPP shot, covering multiple vaccines in one.
AKC Registered Breeder
We understand that adopting a new pet is a significant decision, and you want to ensure your new friend is healthy and happy. That’s why we adhere to the highest standards in breeding high-quality purebred puppies. Not only are our puppies AKC-registered, but Elite Golden Pups is also an AKC-registered breeder, meeting strict guidelines to ensure each dog is healthy and content.
AKC DNA & OFA Genetic Testing
As a dedicated Golden Retriever breeder, we are committed to providing you with the healthiest puppy available. Our promise is to produce happy, healthy golden retrievers free from major health issues, backed by a health guarantee. Our adult dogs are AKC DNA-tested and OFA-tested for genetic health concerns. Additionally, the puppy’s first vet visit includes a thorough examination and necessary vaccinations. These steps are vital in preventing costly future veterinary expenses. When you decide to adopt, we will provide you with the necessary registry paperwork for AKC or UKC registration, and a health record detailing the vaccinations your puppy has received.
